Specialized Driver Training for Individuals with Autism

Announcements

For many people with Autism, learning to drive can increase independence, improve access to employment, and expand opportunities for community involvement.

Northwestern Medicine Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheaton, Illinois, offers a specialized driving rehabilitation program that helps individuals with autism become safe, confident drivers.

This program provides individualized driver training plans that consider sensory needs, processing differences, and heightened anxiety. Participants build the skills needed to prepare for safe independent driving and the Illinois road test, while receiving support tailored to their unique needs.
