Jonathan Chavez Montenegro
Associate Consultant
Personal Mission
Jonathan provides client service across all areas and strives to be an advocate for the success of all clients and their needs.

Jonathan brings a strong desire to advocate for clients and help families navigate financial planning with empathy and understanding. Growing up on Milwaukee’s South Side and being part of a family with a history of cognitive disability shaped his awareness of the challenges faced by marginalized communities. These experiences inspired his commitment to helping individuals from diverse backgrounds gain access to the financial resources they need.

He joined Oak Wealth Advisors with the goal of expanding access to financial planning and special needs support for underrepresented populations. Jonathan earned a B.S. in Personal Finance & Financial Planning from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in May 2025, along with certificates in Disability Rights & Services and Social Justice & Education. He is currently preparing to take the CFP® exam, with hopes of using his future expertise to contribute to advocacy efforts and community-focused initiatives across Wisconsin.

Outside of the office, Jonathan enjoys listening to music, playing bass guitar, and watching movies. He often returns to Milwaukee to stay connected with his family and community. A loyal Wisconsin sports fan, he dreams of one day holding season tickets for both the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Bucks. In his free time, Jonathan also serves as an advisor to a student organization at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he supports students interested in community advocacy, leadership, and personal growth—mentorship work he hopes to continue throughout his career.
