Student Loan Forgiveness for Individuals with Disabilities
This month’s perk highlights an important benefit: the discharge of federal student loans and/or TEACH Grant service obligations for individuals who qualify as totally and permanently disabled.
If approved, the following loans may be exempt from repayment:
- William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program loans
- Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program loans
- Federal Perkins Loans
How to qualify:
Borrowers must submit an application with documentation proving total and permanent disability.
